We take the health of our cats extremely seriously.

 

All breeding cats come from parents who have been health-tested with clear results.  Our cats are tested through Laboklin’s Maine Coon bundle, which screens for common breed-specific genetic conditions

HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) – a heart condition that can lead to heart failure.

 

PKD (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency) – an enzyme deficiency causing anaemia.

 

SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) – affects muscle strength and coordination.

​

FXI Deficiency (Factor XI Deficiency) – a rare blood clotting disorder.

 

Blood Typing (A, B, AB) – to prevent Neonatal Isoerythrolysis in kittens.

We also ensure our kittens receive two full veterinary health checks, complete vaccinations, and are at least 13 weeks old before joining their new families.
